Taiwan Day 4 : Flying Cow Ranch- Miaoli

The next morning after breakfast we had a full day packed with activities.  The first half of the day saw us at the DIY workshops baking cookies and making fresh ice cream! The second half of the day was spent at the farm which included a tractor ride around the farm, feeding the various animals on the farm as well as milking the cow. Apart from the tractor ride and some of the feeds which were payable, the scheduled animal feeds and activities were free.  I’m glad my kids love nature and animals, could see that they both enjoyed feeding and playing with the farm animals!  We took many lovely pictures at the ranch...

Taiwan Day 3 : Flying Cow Ranch- Miaoli

The drive from Hsinchu to Miaoli was supposed to be about an hour but we took roughly about 1hr 30mins since the GPS didn’t quite lead as correctly at one point and we ended up relying on the signposts which eventually led us to the beautiful farm.  I had earlier booked the cottage rooms with 2 double beds, via the farm’s website.  Entry into the farm is free with the reserved accommodation.
We stayed for 2 nights and I felt that was adequate since the farm area is quite big and there were several activities to participate.   It has 3 main areas the camping grounds, the barn and animal area and the main restaurant area.   Since the farm was fairly huge, the check in staff was very detailed in explaining all the activities and restaurants in the farm.  She even made a point to help mark out on the farm maps for us.  We had daily milk vouchers and DIY workshop vouchers for our 3 Days 2 Nights stay.  After checking into our rooms and washing up we took the kids for a walk to explore the farm grounds.  There was a playground which they enjoyed before we headed for our hotpot dinner at the restaurant.  The red restaurant served a special milk broth hotpot. After dinner we took a nice stroll back to our room and joined in the night activity of DIY baking session.   It was fun baking as a family and the fresh milk biscuits we made were rather delicious.  That ended our first night at the ranch.
