After the rain, the sun shines again...

Hazel has been feeling under the weather for the past 3 days. Since monday evening she was down with fever and the fever seemed to linger on and off. When the fever started on day 1 she was really "man ja" and needed lots of comforting but other than dat she was still eating and playing,as per normal. We checked her body for any spots or rashes but found none and her fever was not very high so decided to jus monitor for another day. Cos many people say its prob due to teething.

By wednesday her fever was still around so papa decided we should jus head to the doc to check since its gonna be 3 days & if there be some illness that cant be detected by sight. So I made an evening appointment. When we reach the clinic it was not crowded, we registered, took her temp, ht & wt. by than her fever had gone away and we waited jus 5 mins for our turn.

Doc did a thorough check on her, ask if anyone was sick at home and if she's eating well etc... As he didn't detect anything & looks active & responds to him we shd not worry as its prob a common viral fever which will last for abt 3 days, and at the end of the fever there mayb some rashes on her face(which we should not be alarm). But should she still have fever on sat we should bring her back for urine test.

So after that reassurance we headed back home and it was bedtime. We fed her her medication and she drank only 1/2 of her milk and fell asleep. She woke up at 4am crying and I knew she was hungry so fed her some milk and took her temp, fever had gone down after 6 hrs without medicine. After drinking she wen back to sleep. Wen we wen off to work this morning she was still in bed sleeping - which is a good sign. Tested her temp and it was at 36.8. Hopefully it remains this way...

P/S: Hazel makes taking paracetamol so yummy, she'll take in the medicine and press her lips and taste it- too bad no video of her taking medicine!

Wow! You are a really brave girl!

Last time, when I was a small girl like you, I can never keep my medicine down for very long. I always end up throwing it out.

Hope you get well soon!
