We
are back from our 8D7N Taiwan Trip and here’s our itinerary! We flew Singapore
Airlines on the early morning flight and this time round the kids got pampered
with kids ear phones and goodies sponsored by USS Singapore. They
fully enjoyed the inflight entertainment and dining experience. I must say inflight kids goodies varies from
time to time, on some occasions we encountered no goodies offered at all and on
other occasions they generously bring them out.
So being unsure, I prepared some activity books and toys for the kids. Before we knew it, five hours passed and we
arrived at Taoyuan International Airport. Here’s our executive summary, more on
the details later!
We
rented a car for 5 days to travel to Hsinchu and Miaoli area. Back at Taipei we travelled mainly by their
local transport - MRT, shuttle bus as well as taxi. I must say Taiwan is very convenient to
travel the F&E way, the roads are relatively easy to drive (ample signage
in Mandarin and English), public transport is well connected and streets are well
maintained and less crowded. In terms of
child friendliness I also give it thumbs up, most restaurants have kid’s
utensils and baby chairs, easy to move around with pram since streets are
better maintained and there were lifts to the main street area at most MRT stations
compared to Hong Kong and Korea.
